Illustration Friday - Polar

When Kitty's new boyfriend spilled the milk, the atmosphere turned polar under the stone-cold gaze of the parents.

My husband's idea (with lots of helpful remarks, too :))

Adorable! I've been in a similar situation. I'll never forget the shame of knocking over a salt cellar (something I have to admit I had never seen in use before) at one chilly dinner...and the reaction of the hosts! Cringe city. (Not my in-laws though, thank goodness!)

Great idea, what a clever take on "Polar." I love how complex your illos are, with lots of fun details that add so much to your compositions. I always like your colors too...

Great illustration, Tusen! This illustration reminds me of story that describes the life of a cat, Jennie.

I can certainly relate to the boyfriend's situation. Although I usually spill dark on white, not white on dark. ;-)

Great idea Tusen, and nicely rendered. Thanks so much for your comments on my posting.

Hee. Clever and funny. That calico cat must feel self-conscious in a land of Siamese.
